Take the free German level test on this site. Most people who have lived in Germany a couple of years without formal study land around A2.
+How fast can I get a B1 certificate?
If you are genuinely at B1, a few weeks: work through five mock exams, then book the next telc or Goethe date. The exam itself is the slow part — dates fill up.
