German for nurses and care workers
Germany recruits nurses from all over the world, and the language certificate is almost always the bottleneck. Most Länder require B1 for the recognition procedure and B2 before you can work unsupervised; several go straight to B2. Employers hire on the certificate first and the interview second.

Frequently asked questions
+Do nurses need B1 or B2 German?
It varies by Bundesland. B2 is the common requirement for full professional recognition (Anerkennung) as a nurse, with B1 sometimes sufficient to start the process or to work as an assistant.
+Is this medical German?
No — these are general telc and Goethe mock exams. Pass B1/B2 first; specialist Fachsprachprüfung preparation comes after, and assumes the general level.
+Which certificate do hospitals accept?
telc and Goethe-Institut certificates are the most widely accepted. Some employers specifically ask for "Telc Deutsch B2 Pflege" for the specialist stage — the general B2 is the prerequisite.
