Common questions
How realistic are these mock exams?
Every mock follows the official structure of the exam it targets — the same sections, the same task types, the same number of items, and the same time limits. telc runs Leseverstehen and Sprachbausteine as one 90-minute block; Goethe times each section separately. Our clock does the same.
What is in a mock exam?
The full paper as a PDF you read on screen, the listening audio, an answer sheet you fill in as you go, and instant scoring on submission. Speaking (Sprechen) is not included — it is a live test with an examiner and nothing to answer online.
How is the writing scored?
Your Schreiben response is graded against the official criteria for that level — task fulfilment, coherence, vocabulary range, and grammatical accuracy. You get a score, a summary, strengths, improvements, and corrections that quote your actual words rather than generic advice.
What is the difference between Goethe and telc?
Both are officially recognised, CEFR-aligned German certificates. The Goethe-Zertifikat is issued by the Goethe-Institut and is accepted worldwide for study, work, and visas. telc certificates are widely accepted for visa applications, citizenship, and integration courses in Germany. The skills tested are the same; the task formats differ. We cover both.
What does it cost?
One payment of €45 for three months of access. That covers every mock at every level — Goethe and telc, A1 through B2. No subscription and no auto-renewal.
Can I retake a mock?
As many times as you want for the whole three months. Each attempt is scored separately, so you can see the improvement between runs.
I always run out of time in the real exam. Does this help?
That is exactly what a timed mock is for. The clock is stamped server-side when you open a section and a reload will not extend it — so the pressure you feel here is the pressure you will feel on the day.
