Deutsch Trainer · Pro/Contra Practice
Für und Wider — argue both sides in German.
B1 and B2 exams always include a discussion task. This trainer gives you curated pro and contra arguments for 100 exam-relevant topics — in German, at your level, with the exact connectors examiners want to hear.
Don't go blank when the examiner asks.
The exact skill examiners test
B1 and B2 oral tasks always include a structured discussion. This trainer drills exactly that — so you walk in knowing you can do it.
Real arguments, not translations
Every card gives you exam-ready sentences in German. You're not looking up words — you're rehearsing the lines that already work.
Both sides on every card
You see three pro arguments and three contra arguments together. Examiners reward balance, and this trains that reflex from day one.
Language tips baked in
Each card includes the connectors examiners want to hear: einerseits … andererseits, ein Vorteil ist, dass … Ich halte das für …
Short sessions, big variety
Ten topics per run, drawn fresh and shuffled each time. Five minutes of focused practice is more useful than an hour of passive review.
B1 and B2 — two distinct registers
B1 topics use everyday vocabulary. B2 topics use the nuanced, formal register the upper-intermediate exam demands. Pick your level.

Is this useful for Goethe and TELC exams?
Yes. Both exam bodies include a structured discussion or pro/contra task at B1 and B2. The topics and language on these cards are aligned to what comes up in both.
Are the arguments in German or English?
Everything on the back of the card is in German. The topic on the front is in German too. The goal is to read, recognise, and rehearse — not translate.
How many topics are there?
One hundred in total — fifty at B1 covering everyday themes, fifty at B2 covering more complex societal debates. Each session draws ten at random.
